For a few turns I would get a popup saying a provence was starving, and I would check it every turn and it would always be macedonia, no big deal, except the messages never stopped. The supplies were low at first, so I built appropriate supply buildings, food buildings, and moved my armies out, just as I had done with a dozen provences before which worked fine.

In my most recent game for example I conquered macedonia. The final blow to the feature however is the bugginess I have experienced. The AI doesn't seem to react well, meaning sometimes allies will stack massive armies in one of my home provinces causing hunger and supply problems in my armies. The UI for the feature is very clunky and difficult to visualize why something is happening, requiring me to keep the guide open in a second monitor so when something happens I can deduce why and how to fix it. Sometimes it will go from +3000 to -2000 in a single turn due to armies running low on supplies while attacking a provence. My issue is that the system seems to be rather brutishly implemented.ĭue to the upkeep penalties with the supply system I find my income each turn varies dramatically. I understand what was attempted with the system, why it was put in place, and will support any changes to add depth and strategic layers to the game. Thanks everyone for your responses, and kudos to Vandeco to finding the solution. The tragedy is I also can't play vanilla Rome 2 without DeI any longer, effectively making the supply system make the game unplayable.Įdit: Vandeco posted instructions from the manual in deactivating the supply system. It feels more like a chore to play than an enjoyable experience. DeI is one of my favorite mods of all time for one of my favorite games of all time, but since the implementation of the supply system I just haven't been able to enjoy the mod. While Iike the idea of a supply system I feel the way it was implemented detracts from the experience of the game instead of adding to it. Is there a way to play, or perhaps a version somewhere, Divide et Impera without the supply system added in the recent version? Hi all, I have a quick question for you regarding the Divide et Impera mod for Rome 2.
